Little Bob Story were fronted by diminutive dynamo Robert Piazza and have to be one of the oddest rock'n'roll groups ever. Besides Bob's small frame and shoulder length hair there was a part-Korean guitarist and one who looked like he came straight out of the MC5 alongside a seriously long haired and bearded bassist (Barbe Noir) and a drummer who would have looked at home in The Herd; to top all this they were French and played with the intensity of Dr Feelfood on a particularly fuelled night. They were not destined to jump on the punk bandwagon with an image like that, but continued with a remarkably successful career in France, where they had already headlined the 'First European Punk Rock Festival' in Mont de Marsan, Bordeaux, 28th August 1976, which also inlcuded The Gorillas, The Damned and Bijou alongside Nick Lowe, Tyla Gang, Pink Fairies, Roogalator, Eddie & The Hot Rods and Shakin' Street. Little Bob Story also contibuted an EP (SW 7) and later an album "Off The Rails" 9WIK 6) to the Chiswick Story.
