In fact, the group had such an uneventful subsequent career that gonzo rock writer Lester Bangs famously invented one for them. Yet, in a mere two-and-a-half minutes ‘Psychotic Reaction’ perfectly articulated, in sound and fury, the frustration of youthful America in those heady days.
